And we’re off! 2023 got off to a high-octane start

And we’re off! Luckily we took time off over the holidays because 2023 got off to a high-octane start.

To kick off 2023, we welcomed three new hires in Joburg. 
Adil and Katleho joined our CIMA training program, and Reshlin joined our team of experienced accountants.This brings our headcount to 15.

Andries (our tax guy), unwittingly became our resident handyman and IT go-to, having to assemble a few tables for our growing team and to put up a new screen in our board room along with a LAN cable or two. Someone should probably tell him that handyman and IT guy are honorary titles bestowed for life, whether he likes it or not 😊

On the tax-front, we are finalizing personal income tax returns for a few individuals who are provisional taxpayers (before the end of January). 

There are a handful of clients with December year-ends that need to be audited that’s keeping some of us busy, and we’ve already set our sights on the provisional tax returns and year-ends that are coming in February.

Our Main Outcomes For The Year Ahead Are As Follows

1. Maintaining a sustainable growth-rate
2. Establishing our offshore/US tax services offering as a full-fledged division
3. Expanding our Western Cape footprint
4. Building our wealth management business with Anchor Capital (we have a joint venture with them)
